What
Selling Your Company For $35 Million Has to Do With Your Mind?
Harvey was one of the timid, invisible older men in the audience. I almost
resisted talking to him. He didn't seem to have anything interesting to say.
He
was not looking for contacts either. But, as I was out to meet everyone, I
said, "Hi!" And the next question was "Where are you from?"
Harvey told me he was from Ireland, and the next obvious question came out
of
my mouth, "What do you do?" He then disclosed with a proud smile that he had
just sold his business for $35 million dollars! He was there to help others
sell their businesses.
When I told him about my interest in helping business owners manage their
thoughts and beliefs, he then exclaimed, "Oh, yes, it is all in the mind!"
Seeing that I was open to confessions, he immediately began to explain how
"he
did it".
Harvey explained, "I knew from the beginning all the matrix of my business."
I
had a very clear vision of what I wanted to accomplish. I would create 10
retirement homes and bring them to a certain level of income, then sell them
in
8 years." He told me how he visualized the check of 35 million dollars every
week.
Harvey also told me that he didn't know anything about visualization before
he
began. It was only 3 to 4 years into the process that he read the book Think
and Grow Rich. He told me how he visualized consciously every week, and that
each time he was in despair, ready to give up, he would use a tremendous
amount
of willpower to focus on his final vision and keep going. He would force
himself to visualize the final step. It was tremendously hard, he said. But
he
did it!
A week ago, he just harvested the fruit of his mental focus!
If you were hesitating about doing the visualizations and affirmations on a
daily basis, I hope this real story, fresh from last weekend, will keep you
going. My goal is to help you make the focusing easy as possible. When down
