Andy's
Story (2)
So, last week we left Andy when he was a teenager as a star performer in
Budapest. He had just been enrolled in the Hungarian Army by force. He was
devastated. From one day to another, he was shoveling snow instead of
performing as a star. The trauma was so intense that it affected his health
and
Andy developed pneumonia and was in the hospital for 3 months He almost
died.
At the time he made the decision that if he survived he would escape to live
in
the U.S. He dreamed about it all the time. He could see it in his mind. He
told
me “he knew it”. Of course, it wouldn’t be easy. It was going to be
dangerous.
But he never stopped to look at the danger. His mind was focused on his
dream.
He knew he would have to flee his country. With $17 in his pocket, he joined
a
group of tourists going to Yugoslavia (at the time a fellow communist
country)
and escaped at a bus stop to the nearest train station. He took the first
train
going out of the country into Western Europe. His destination ended up being
Austria. In Austria he recreated his life; he went to work while still
dreaming
about America.
A few years later, he finally got his visa to move to the U.S. He had this
time
$300 in his pocket that he had saved for the trip. His dream came true, one
more time!
As soon as he arrived he found his way to the university to learn the
language
and worked full time to pay his tuition. He soon got a band together and
they
were immediately very successful, so they were playing every night.
His next dream was to go to Hollywood, so he imagined himself there, and
again
“knew he was going there”. And low and behold, he moved to LA and while
studying at UCLA as a computer engineer, he got a contract with the biggest
agent in Hollywood. However, things turned sour between them, and he moved
to
Florida to become a computer engineer for IBM. He ended up making a fortune
in
the computer industry.
Finally, after 9/11 he was fired and decided to create his own business. He
wanted to introduce a restaurant franchise his father had developed across
Europe to the US. It is a café with the European ambience serving crepes and
other meals. He already can see them in every corner of every city in
America.
So, look out for the Crepe Paris Café around the corner from your
neighborhood!
Your decision, your thoughts, your vision always come true so learn to
harness
the power of your mind.
