The Answer (5): The Story of The Big Fish

I hope everyone has been following along
the last four newsletters.

We have been using John Assaraf's
new book "The Answer" as a guide.

John uses the law of attraction in his
businesses and has been ultra successful
with it.

So, if you have followed along,
you now have a list of
supporting beliefs. Beliefs that will help
you reach your goal.

Beliefs like:
I attract the perfect team in my business
I deserve success
etc...

Today, we will be talking about how to
take a new belief and recondition your
mind to believe it.

John explains that the way to change your
beliefs is to recondition your brain by repeating
the new belief three times a day for a month or more.
--And also visualize and use reminders during the
day.

This is very effective, but my fifteen years of
experience in energy psychology has proven to me
that there is a faster way to work with beliefs.

Imagine a part of your unconscious being like a
pond with a big fish in it.
This big fish (belief) has always lived there
as long as it can remember.
Now try to bring a new fish into the pond.

What will happen?

The "old" big fish is not going to be happy.
He is going to fight it, make the life of the new
fish difficult, almost impossible.

If the big fish is really big, as it has been there
for decades, well nourished, it will be much
more powerful than the new fish.

It will be a real struggle for this new fish to win.

Training the new fish three times a day by
dropping it in the pond will eventually be effective
but it will take time and energy.

Now, imagine a new scenario. Before the new fish
is introduced, the old fish is considerably weakened
or even eliminated --being moved out elegantly to a
retirement place somewhere in the universe:)

Now, the new fish has no problem to grow and
take control of his pond.

This is how I like to work with beliefs.

First, I find the old fish and dispose of it.
Then I bring a new, fresh fish in the pond.

Energy psychology is giving us the tools
to dissolve and change beliefs.

So, it is easy. Or at least much easier.

For those who know EFT (Emotional Freedom
Techniques) or those who have read my
e-book* and learned the Q-Word technique,
you can do just that.

To be more concrete:
For every supporting belief that you have
listed, write at least one opposite belief
that is there now in your unconscious
(old fish).

Either tap or use your Q-Word (trigger word)
with the intention to dissolve the belief,
and low and behold the old belief will
lose its power and disappear often times in a matter
of minutes.

But surprise!

... you will find more than one old fish
in the pond. There will be many old and smaller
fish to get out also.

Don't hesitate to bring the old fish to the surface
and look at them in the face.
Don't be afraid of them.
Better know what's in there and deal with it
than let the old fish tire up your new fresh
fish.

So let's take an example:
The positive new belief is :
I attract the ideal team player in my company.

Now if you have written this belief as
supportive it means that you don't believe this
right now.

Do you follow me?

So, what do you believe instead? (old fish)

Something like that:
"I never find the right person to help me"
or
"Nobody I know is interested in what I do"
etc.

You need to go fishing and find them.

Now, use the tapping technique (EFT)
or for even faster results the Q-Word
technique*, and dissolve them.

When the pond is empty, you can
go ahead and install your new fish.

Don't leave any old fish in there. Remember
they are powerful and experienced :)

Now, affirm the new belief and tap on
the EFT points to anchor it in your
body/mind.

You will still benefit greatly from
affirmations and visualizations, but
now you are enjoying yourself at
the pond, watching your new fish
fly.

You are simply magnetizing your creation
by focusing on it and enjoying it.
Abraham-Hicks explains that the more
you think about something, the more
the magnet gets stronger.

She also explains that the role of
affirmations is not to create, but to
enjoy the creation before it is in your
reality. This is only possible if you have
already taken care of the old fish:)

For now, make your "old fish" list
and use a technique you know
to manage them--or learn
one this week*.

Next week we'll address other
improvements that can be made to the
Assarraf program.

Warmly,
Colette
