No Limits!
Yesterday I attended a meeting of local motivational speakers.
I met there one person whose impact will forever influence my life.
Gabriel was born without arms and with very short legs.
However, he had come alone to the event and was fully participating.
Gabriel is a pure example of the power of determination;
he loves to challenge the impossible.
As a young teenager he wanted to drive a car just like all
of his friends, so he designed a way to do just that.
As we left the meeting, I went to see him as he drove
away in his new, beautiful Eclipse.
There are truly no limits when you become determined to find a way.
Gabriel has a very successful business designing websites and
writing computer programs. He also runs a multi-million dollar
import/export company, aside from his successful motivational
speaking engagements.
But what impressed me the most when I met and talked to Gabriel
was his mindset. He was positive, gentle, with no sense of anger
or resentment to his presence at all; he was peaceful and happy.
Actually, the name of his website ( http://www.smilemyway.com ) says
it all.
He had made peace with "what is" without ever forgetting his dreams
and desires, finding ways to accomplish them no matter what.
This week I would like for you to reassess the tangible barriers
that you have never challenged in your life.
Repeat to yourself, "I can be who I will to be," and think of Gabriel.
Each time you find a wall, ask yourself, "What if I found a way...?".
