The
Power of Decision
I was standing in front of my apartment building in Paris. My son was in a
stroller in front of me. I had stopped walking, my hands were joined, my
eyes were closed.
I was making a creation. "I decide to find the perfect apartment for my
father within one hour."
Why within one hour? At the time I was breastfeeding...and I don't know if
you have been there, but when it is breastfeeding time,
there is no way you can focus on a business deal and breastfeed at the same
time…unless you are a wearing a cap with "Super Mom" written on it.
My father had been calling me every two days for the last three months
saying some version of "Darling, did you find me the perfect apartment yet
so I can move to Paris and be with you?"
"No, Dad. Eric is away for three weeks out of four. I have not had a full
night's sleep for the last three months and I am breastfeeding every two
hours," was my answer.
You understand... I had other things to do than to shop for real estate at
the time.
But, for once, I had slept pretty well the previous night. I felt rested and
refreshed. I knew that this was an exceptional moment in time. It was now or
never.
I had no time to lose. I had to use my skills as a deliberate creator of my
reality and set my mind in alignment with source to create right then and
there.
As I had made a decision, I knew I had just passed step 1 through 3 of
creation (strong desire/decision, believing, letting go) and was now in the
manifestation stage (expecting, listening, taking action).
So... it was action time! Checking my intuition I didn't get a clear
message, so I decided to take a logical step. (Always take a logical step
towards the realization of your creation, and expect your intuition and
guidance to come one moment or another.)
I had been walking towards the downtown area for about ten minutes when
suddenly, out of nowhere, in my mind I heard a loud order: "Turn right!"
I stopped walking. I was dazzled.
I looked on the right and there was a narrow, dark medieval street, no signs
of any business in there...pretty spooky to say the least.
So, my logical mind intervened to save me..."No way am I going to turn
right! Are you kidding?" I thought.
Then I heard it again; this time the volume was turned up to the max. "Turn
right!!!"
“OK, OK. I give up the fight." I turned right and within 100 feet, on my
left, I saw a large window with a picture of a house in it. They had just
opened a new real estate agency and it was their first and only property.
They were selling the first level of a beautiful stone house with a small
garden, etc...totally renovated, the right price...everything. I opened the
door of the new real estate agency. "Is this apartment still available?"
"Yes, do you want to visit it now?" Yes!
And this is how my father came to move just five minutes from my apartment,
right in front of the kindergarten school my son would eventually attend,
close to a bakery and a metro station...
So, why did I receive this clear message? This guidance?
Simple. I had made a creation and the Universe was answering. Right then and
there.
How did I make this creation? Easy.
I decided!
When you decide, you are up the ladder of manifestation (see my e-book,
"M-Power") and creations happen very fast up there.
I knew that. I had recognized the power of decision and had been using it
for a while.
In my years of studying the Law of Attraction, I had come to the conclusion
that there is nothing more powerful than a decision.
When you are in the state of decision, you know only one thing: nothing will
get in your way. But you don't know how it will happen.... You know that the
Universe will provide a way, and that the "how" of it is not your problem.
All you have to do is then listen to your intuition and accept the guidance
you will be receiving. Let me caution you: the guidance is rarely as loud
and clear as in this story; it often comes as a whisper, a desire, a
thought, an inspiration... a feeling that you would really love to do
something.
So I can hear you ask: but how do I travel up this ladder? How do I become a
more decisive person? How do I create like that?
Well, let's create it!
Like the last five newsletters in this series, we are going to use a
powerful tool I have designed to this effect: Q-Word.

For those who know their Q-Word and are ready to Rambo, let's Rambo:
Step 1- State out loud: "I decide", with the intention to really make it a
reality for you.
Step 2: Focus on all the thoughts and feelings that are coming up your
consciousness... that are between you and your belief that you decide to
manifest. Repeat your Q-Word in sequence for about 30 seconds or so.
Step 3: Repeat steps 1 through 3 until you get a sense that you DO decide!
So for example--- you will hear your mind saying things like, "Of course I
don't decide this..." and keep erasing.
Because at the core, you decide; you are the creator of your reality! Unless
of course you decide that you don’t. And then you are right as well.
Since in your early age you have made the decision—like everyone I have ever
met—“I don’t decide; others decide for me”.
But, think about it: if you ever want to be the deliberate creator of your
life, you need to decide! Now!
Decision is the key to you becoming the creator of your reality.
I know that nobody talks about this. It is like the elephant in the middle
of the living room. How can you become the actual deliberate creator of your
reality if you believe someone else decides? Think about this question
during the week; it has deep implications.
A last note about the exercise: this exercise works like peeling an onion.
Each time you do it, you will find new limiting thoughts coming up to your
consciousness and you are going to expand the power and responsibility you
are ready to take about your life.
The goal of this exercise is to help you dissolve years and years of
conditioning on the message that "you do not decide. I decide for you..."
So, either you do the exercise, or decide you don’t want to. It’s OK... YOU
DECIDE!
