Stop Resisting and Enjoy the
Miracles!
As most of you know, I went to France a few weeks ago,
not only on holiday but to prepare a house for sale.
Remember, this was the house I had formerly agreed to rent
in partnership with my sister. This arrangement gave way to a frustrating
struggle between us; we disagreed on just about every detail of the process.
So I concluded that I needed to end the partnership....quickly. I needed
to sell the property.
I had been agreeing to everything my sister
demanded in order to keep the peace between us. However, I had been losing
myself in the frustrating deal...and everything I desired for my future out
of the inheritance.
I had been swimming up-river, and ended up in full resistance of
the situation.
Then the answer came to me through a friend. She told me how her
mother had suffered for years in a partnership that didn't work out well.
Suddenly, selling seemed the easiest and wisest thing to do.
Immediately after I decided to let go and sell my part of the
house to my sister, I felt relieved. I knew I had made the right
decision...
Then she decided to sell her portion of ownership as well.
So during my vacation, I had to prepare the house for sale.
the strange thing is that even before I left France I had a strong, exciting
feeling
as if the house had already sold. I was even expecting to
receive an offer before I left--even though I had not yet put it on
the market.
But you never know how the universe can find ways...
Two days after I returned home, a realtor called my sister
and asked if he could put our house on the market. We
agreed (for once:). I just had to return a fax to the realtor of the
agreement with my signature.
Five minutes after sending the fax, he faxed back with an
offer, and this offer was extremely acceptable. So I call my sister
and we agreed to accept the offer (a miracle!).
I faxed the realtor immediately with our approval of the sale!
Here you see an example of how easy things become when you go with the flow
:).
While fighting a situation, you are really trying to
control it. You absolutely want to avoid everything involved, and you slide
down the ladder with feelings of fear, anger, and worry.
Ask yourself, What am I resisting? And why am I still trying to make this
happen?
What is your true fear?
What would be the "worst case" scenario if you quit resisting?
What if you stopped trying to control the outcome?
What if you stopped making all the efforts necessary
to shape the results exactly like you want them...
even though it's not working anyway :)
What if you totally let go?
What if you took the easiest path?
Often we don't even pause to ask ourselves these
questions.
We usually don't know our real fear and therefore
we cannot discover the easiest path.
Resisting the flow...going against the current... is often
due to a hidden fear of something that seems too overwhelming to
stop and confront.
But when you take the time and muster the courage--I agree
you need some courage there--to ask yourself these questions,
suddenly you begin to realize that the world is not ending... that there
could be a way to turn that "misfortune" into a positive experience.
It may even turn out to be a better solution...
Actually, it is almost always more favorable.
When you relax, release the tension, then you feel better.
Your energy takes you up the ladder, and you begin to receive
all you ever wanted.
Everything you desire is down the river, as Abraham-Hicks often says!
You receive gifts that you never even expected as you travel with the flow.
