What
bending a spoon has to do with success and love in your life?
Sunday, after a long weekend of relaxation and free time (we have no family
to visit here) I had nothing better to do than finally take the time to
watch a video I have that explained how to bend spoons. Even though I had
been trying to bend spoons before, and had succeeded once, I had failed many
times afterwards, but this time listening to the video I was struck by one
thing the video explained and I finally got it!
She said, “Don’t think of bending the spoon!”
Well, this seems strange if you want to bend a spoon!
And that was it. I finally got it!
All I needed to do, according to Carole, was to visualize a color orange
coming slowly down the top of my head into my head, neck and arms and hands,
and finally imagine it going through the spoon, and then wait for the
intuition or a sense that the spoon is ready…
Then bend it!
I realized that when I failed before my intention was on bending the spoon
and as I was focusing on the “problem” because I had doubts about my ability
to do it…I was actually focusing on what was creating fear and doubts in me.
And this was blocking the creation.
To create what you want, success, love, etc… you need to let go! And,
contrarily to most gurus out there tell you, the letting go is the 2nd step,
not the last step! This is THE KEY step that needs to come as soon as you
know what you want to create.
You need to find yourself in a state of acceptance that it may or may not
happen and it is OK either way!
This may be the single more difficult step of all in some cases.
I often help my clients through that stage. It is often the only reason you
don’t get what you create!
1st know what you want: bend the spoon, or create a love relationship
2rd: let it go. Have no attachment at all to the when, how, and if it
happens. It doesn’t matter if it doesn’t bend. You are just enjoying the
doing of it.
3nd Then be peaceful and focused in the present going step by step,
following what needs to be done. You are literally able to forget for a
moment about the goal. Visualize and feel in the present moment, trusting
the process, and listening to your intuition. You will feel a sense inside
of you that is guiding you.
So, I totally let go, even though my husband and son where watching with
curiosity what I was going to do. I forgot totally about them, got into the
visualization of the orange color, and soon I could feel the orange color in
my hands and in the spoon, then I had a sense that it was ready, but I
hesitated, waited a little longer, I thought it was going too fast.
And then a few seconds later, I got the same sense again, so I went for it
in one brief and concentrated moment. I bent the spoon in a U form.
And it felt so natural, that I didn’t even have the pleasure to have done
something special! This is also, by the way, a common result of a creation.
You are so sure in one hand that it will happen, and so detached on the
other hand that when it happens it feels strangely normal.
This is why many people do not even recognize when the creation is done.
They realize it later when they remember that they once thought and wanted
this happen to them.
So, the pleasure of a creation is actually in the making of it, in the
observation of the way the universe ends up putting all the pieces together.
Like an artist, the pleasure is in the doing of it. But the power is in the
Letting Go…which we tend to miss
