How to
Write a "To Do List" for Santa Clause
Do you remember asking Santa Claus for a new remote control car or the
latest bendable-leg Barbie? You may have to think way back on this one (like
several decades ago.) Life was simple back then, wasn’t it?
Believe it or not, life can still be that simple for you now. You stopped
believing in Santa a long time ago, and this is your problem.
But listen: there is good news! Santa Clause exists after all. The One who
gives us our heart’s desires is available on demand, 24/7. You may call this
Entity “The Universe” or you may know it by a number of other names.
This Universal Force is the Santa Claus of adulthood and it is attentive to
your wish list without regard to any holiday season of the year. It’s better
than the Santa Clause of your childhood.
I know, I know… everyone has convinced you that it doesn’t exist. Failure to
realize the deepest desires of your heart occurs precisely as a result of
doubting the Universe’s ability to provide the manifestation of all your
dreams. This unfortunate loss of belief thrust upon us as we grow into
“productive adults” causes us to lose the power we need to create our “wish
list”.
Therefore, you never even notice when you receive a gift from the Universe
and furthermore, you don’t even think to ask or make a “wish list” anymore.
Whenever you make a request, the Universe always answers. But there is a
trick to it.
Last Tuesday, I wrote on my “to do” list for the Universe… (Yes, I have
one):
“Find a writer/editor for my book. I need someone who understands my work
and can help me write and edit it as well.”
Not easy to find… unless you get the Universe involved.
So, I asked. I wrote it down on “The Universe ‘To Do’ List” and I began
acting upon my inspirations. I called a friend who had previously told me of
a prolific writer, but she did not answer my call. Disappointed, I consulted
the internet regarding website outsourcing services. I tried writing an
offer, but it just didn’t “feel” right so I erased it.
I know better; I don’t have to force anything I request. I only need to
relax and allow the Universe to arrange the event. Synchronicity happens.
As I was reading one site, an e-mail appeared on my screen:
“Let me know when your book is written; I would love to edit it.”
This was from a good friend of mine. I immediately felt a strong spark of
joy and excitement in my heart. I knew this was the perfect writer with whom
to collaborate. At first I had a difficult time believing the perfection of
the situation that had just occurred, but then… it was on my wish list for
the day.
I experienced a fleeting moment of fear as I considered the prospect of
asking her to co-write the book with me. For many people, it would be a bit
too much to request. But the “spark” was there, and it provided the clear
signal I needed in order to rest assured that the Universe was leading the
way.
I excitedly replied with the proposition, and she was absolutely ecstatic
about the idea. She had been dreaming of writing a book for some time, and
writing is absolutely her favorite activity, as she confided to me. She
readily agreed and our cooperation began right there!
She is the perfect co-writer for my work. She knows my methods first-hand;
she has asked to help me, and she is motivated and intrigued with the
subject matter. Passionate
about writing, she excellently organizes…which certainly complements my
creative skills. And best of all, she has time to devote to the project
right now. I could never have done better with my own attempts.
Thanks, Santa-Verse!
So this is what I mean when I say that Santa Clause exists. And the secret
is: all you need to do is write your wish list, and he will do the same for
you.
Of course, there is a trick to it, but it is an easy one. You must follow
the three essential steps:
First:
Know exactly what you really wish—feel it in your heart.
Next:
Write it down. (I have a yellow pad that I use specifically for this
purpose.) You may also just state it aloud, but establish a routine to let
the Universe know you mean business.
Finally (and most importantly):
Let it go…totally. Trust. Forget about it if you can. Do not feel any
attachment to the result. I know this is the most difficult step of all. Go
about the activities of the moment in peace, and you will find assurance and
contentment.
For best results quickly, begin slowly. Choose only slightly challenging
creations that you wish to create with the Universe. Choose things that
allow you to initiate your own action if the Universe does not respond as
rapidly as results are needed. This will allow you to let go more easily.
You need to be able to feel “OK” if it doesn’t happen. This is THE SECRET.
At the same time, be CONFIDENT that IT IS HAPPENING. Listen for any kind of
sign. Be ready to follow the spark in your heart when it happens. When you
have an idea, go for it. The universe often guides by giving ideas and
inspirations that you never had before. Listen to them! We have been
programmed to disregard our intuitions. Your intuition may be the greatest
gift bestowed on humanity by the loving creative force of the Universe.
Know that if you are trying constantly to bring about your request on your
own, you are taking the wrong path. Relax and don’t waste your time
fighting. Choose the path of least resistance because the Universe always
leads us smoothly toward the Christmas tree.
When you begin asking the Universe to help organize and accomplish your
day-to-day issues and goals, your life will become a never-ending Christmas
morning where fabulous gifts beyond your wildest imagination are piled high
beneath the tree… for you to rip open and enjoy!
Don’t waste any more precious time. Write your own wish list! In the time it
takes to scribble your dreams, you can begin relishing the miracles in store
for your wonderful life. Hurry! Santa’s waiting.
Warmly,
