Are you
addicted to feeling bad?
I asked for questions last week, and you sent tons of them. Thanks. Keep at
it! Today, I chose one of the questions that many of you are asking: How is
it
that I cannot seem to be able to maintain my good feelings?
Here is a question from Joi:
Morning Colette, I had an interesting ;-) day yesterday. I woke up and made
the
decision that I would completely go with the flow, not try to orchestrate
anything, just simply be.
I started out strong but around midday, I started to fall back into the old
groove, having a crying spell later. My thoughts are this: there is that old
"stuff" that says, "uh oh - this is feeling too easy. It can't be good,
right,
ok. Gotta go back to what I was used to, the struggle, the drama."
But then, that doesn't feel right either. Am I making sense? That behavior
of
creating fear where there is none? It’s like being in flow and then "coming
to"
and thinking that reality is supposed to be filled with doubt and fear.
This morning, I strung a necklace for a friend and as I put each bead on the
string, I spoke words of gratitude for people and things in my life. Any
thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Take care, Joi
Joi,
By the way, wonderful idea about beading and being grateful. I am going to
recommend it to my clients.
But to go back to your question, I want to assure you that it is normal to
have
these thoughts. As explained in the film “What the Bleep Do We Know: Down
the
Rabbit Hole” your cells are addicted to that feeling. You have to go through
detox, in the real sense of the term.
Remember, your cells have been used to harbor the chemicals of the bad
feelings
all your life...they are missing their dose of it. Emotions are small bits
of
proteins (neuropeptides) that are produced by the brain, but then migrate
quickly to the rest of the body, docking unto millions of cells all over
your
body.
Your cells get addicted to these chemicals and in time they develop more
docking stations and are in need of the “stuff”. So, when they don’t get it,
they demand it! They ask for their dose by sending a message to the brain to
produce a thought that would create the same chemical. And the brain gets
the
message and looks for a thought that could produce the chemical.
Guess which type of thoughts do you think the brain will produce? Bad,
negative
thoughts that are sure to trigger the chemical needed. For example, if your
cells have been addicted to feeling sorry for themselves or sad, or in
despair,
these are specific neuropeptides your cells have been used to get. If
suddenly
you decide you want to be happy for the rest of your life, your cells are
going
to fight it big time.
Fact: Your cells don't know how to live without these chemicals yet. For
your
cells to detox, you need at least 3 days. This is what scientific studies
say
about chemical dependency, but there emotions are not as easily eliminated
from
our lives for three full days like chemicals can.
Aside from the chemical dependency, there is an energetic grove, which has
created a magnetic field attracting these thoughts for years.
My experience has been that if you can do a 3 day intensive positive
feeling/alignment with Source energy, and making the decision that the most
important thing in the world is to feel good, then you will still have to
monitor your thoughts and feelings for about a month or so, but you will
have
dramatically shifted up the ladder for the rest of your life.
For those who can I would advise a retreat. If you can’t get out of your
home,
make sure you get on the “feeling super good” program for at least three
days.
For that you will need support and set your plan.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Let me give you 5 ideas on how to feel good:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1- Quiet your mind as much as possible. Practice any type of meditation you
know and love. If you can quiet your mind for three days, I assure you that
you
will be in control of your thoughts for the rest of your life. Actually the
shutter in your mind will stop. (personal experience) You will only be
thinking
when you need to! Yes, there is such a thing as that!
2- Listen to uplifting music
3- Visualize your dream life or dream house and let yourself fully enjoy it
without asking yourself how it will come.
4- Do the gratitude walk: take a walk and at every step whisper “I am so
grateful for ____” When you reach your destination meditate for a few
minutes.
Then come back bless one person in your life. Whisper “may you be happy and
well”.
5- Listen to motivational speakers, they bring you up the ladder
automatically.
This is there job!
If you feel the desire to feel bad, remember, there is nothing “bad” or to
judge about it, you just notice it, and shift your attention towards finding
something that feels better immediately! You know the rule of the 17 seconds
(after 17 seconds you are attracting a new thougth of the same type and it
snowballs from there).
You need to become aware as fast as possible of your feelings, and within
the
17 seconds of feeling bad, focus your intention and attention to find a way
to
feel better. Talk to your cells tell them you love them and they are going
to
love the feeling good chemicals so much they will never desire to go back
:)
Hope this helps, Thanks for asking...many people will live the same thing.
Colette
Thank you so much! Would you mind writing about this in your newsletter?
Your
words help tremendously and I am sure there are others who have probably
experienced similar.

Technique: The Mood Raiser: How to use the Chakras to go up the ladder?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Last week I promised you a technique to help you feel good. This is a
technique that uses the Chakras system and that I have developed (inspired
by
my training in Seemorg Matrix Work) found very powerful. the main advantage
is
that you don't have to know what is blocking you from going up the ladder.
1- hold your left hand on your heart (keep it there for the entire exercise)
2- The right hand is going to move upward from chakras to chakras (Chakras
are
centers of energy, see below for location) while you are going to repeat: "I
am raising my vibrations to the highest level possible that is good for me"
LOCATION of Chakras: 1st chakras: tip of the spine 2nd chakras: pelvis area
3rd chakras: solar plexus/pit of the stomach 4th chakras: heart area (skip)
5th
chakras: throat 6th chakras: forehead 7th chakras: top of the head 3- Repeat
the cycle at least three times.
Story: One day I had a client who was afraid that he might have lost
$100,000
that day (can't tell you all the details), he was in a panick. We did this
exercise, and a little later during the session I asked him to bring back
his
fear: he told me "I am unable to feel fear, now that you have raised my
energy
level!"

Here is a text from Joi
What does inspiration sound like? It sounds like a whisper when you least
expect it or a voice that clarifies confusion. This is the point at which
you
realize you have let go of control and let the answers present themselves.
This has happened to me recently and the only way I can describe it as the
“voice of clarity”. Sometimes it is one simple word or a phrase, but it is
clear and there is no mistaking the message.
It is interesting that when I am working hard to find the answer to an
issue,
that much sought-after answer seems to elude me. When I let go of the need
for
an answer, it finds me. There have been a couple of times recently where
that
clarity was more of a feeling than a voice.
I felt it and gave it words afterwards. Monday morning, I was struck with
the
sense of riding a roller coaster and being at that point at the top, right
before the drop, where you can fight the feeling of free-falling or go with
it.
I made the conscious decision to go with the feeling which I later
interpreted
as my desire to truly let go. The choice to let go has created an ease which
I
have never experienced before. Things have truly flowed.
My choices feel easier as well as more aligned with my desire to be “up the
ladder” as Colette says.
Remain detached from letting go and watch your life flow!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is it for now. Have a wonderful week up the ladder!
Warmly,

Colette Streicher, LMSW
